We will help with this effort through providing support letters. Other possible of support may be local business, scholarships or bursaries that the student may qualify for because of their work throughout the summer.Staff salaries will be based on $8.50 per hour, 40 hours per week for 16 weeks, paid bi-weekly from the beginning of training through to the end of the camp season.

Travel

Prior to the Camp Season, the Camp Ministry Team will have an opportunity to serve in several Covenant Churches.  Depending on the gifts of this year's staff, the team will participate in various children's and youth activities, serving the ministries of our churches and promoting our summer Camps.  During the camp season, Camp Ministry Team members will have the opportunity to travel across Western Canada, serving in all three of our Covenant Camps in Manitoba, Alberta, and BC.  Travel is arranged by the Camp Ministry Team Coordinator, who takes care of all the planning and expenses.

This year's Camp Ministry Team will be travelling in style!  A Suburban has been generously donated for use over the summer, so there will be plenty of room for guitars and sleeping bags and other essentials.  For those who like to see their "I's" dotted and "T's" crossed, itineraries for each week along with all relevant information (hosts, contact numbers, etc.) will be provided at the beginning of the season.  Travel to the training location at the beginning of summer and home from Covenant Bay Camp at the end of the summer will also be provided.

Training

In preparation for the Camp Season, staff will receive valuable hands-on training, such as accredited First Aid and camp policy/safety training, as well as training in how to lead bible studies, sharing your faith journey, cabin leading, and other relevant skills.  In addition, this training time will provide a valuable time of self-examination and preparing your hearts for a summer of ministry and service.  Our Team Coordinator, Jon Drebert, will oversee training in his commitment to ensuring a successful and meaningful summer for our camps and for our Camp Ministry Team.
