Job Description

Camp Ministry Team

Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for 5-10 campers each week
  • Provide guidance and supervision for all campers
  • Manage camper conflicts and discipline campers when necessary
  • Teach a skills class to campers based on your abilities and interests
  • Assist with the drama or worship team
  • Lead activities for campers which include archery, fishing, boating, mountain biking, arts and crafts, large group games, swimming etc.
  • Assist Activities/Ropes Staff with leading high ropes, zip line, and climbing wall
  • Provide leadership and participate in all activities with campers
  • Lead a daily Bible study with your campers
  • Spend one-on-one time with each of your campers to help evaluate their spiritual needs and find ways to help them on their journey
  • Help clean lodges and buildings along with other staff at the end of each camp week
  • Be friendly, patient, polite and courteous with campers, staff and guests
  • Maintain daily prayer and quiet times for personal spiritual growth
  • Attend all staff meetings, Bible studies and prayer times
  • Act responsible and mature at all times
Accountability
  • Be accountable to the Team Coordinator.
Qualifications
  • Be a person who has personally accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior and shows evidence of Christian growth and maturity
  • Desire to share your faith with others and seek opportunities to do so
  • Willing to work hard and serve God through serving people
  • Be able to show Jesus Christ through your attitude, actions, and reactions
  • Have the ability to work well with others and be a positive role model
  • Have the desire to teach children about Christ in an outdoor setting
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • First Aid and CPR required; training provided
  • Willing to commit to the entire summer schedule
  • Life Guard Certification preferred, but not required
  • Applicants must attend or previously attended a ECCC church.
  • Applicant's must be in a physical and mental state in which to perform the tasks asked of them.
  • Successful applicants will be required to submit and have a clear criminal record check and child sexual abuse check (or your provincial equivalent to the child sexual abuse check).
