Mandy Milliquet
I live in Southwestern Ontario, in Windsor for the most part, but I am currently at home in Sarnia. I just completed my third year of my undergraduate degree in Human Kinetics at the University of Windsor. Right now I am studying for the Medical Collage Admissions Test (MCAT) and am registered to write June 18th (the day before training!).
In Windsor I regularly attend Heritage Park Alliance Church. In Sarnia I usually go to Lighthouse Community Church with my family.
I am very passionate about long distance running, rugby, basketball, swimming, and other sports. Some other hobbies I enjoy are cooking, sewing, reading and playing piano.
I dislike plastic bags, and other un-environmentally friendly things.
After completing my degree, my hopes are to attend one of the medical schools in Canada. My ultimate goal is to become a member of the Doctors without Borders organization and practice medicine in under developed countries.
I am super excited to join the camping ministry team. I did not want a regular full-time job this summer; I wanted a job that would allow me to share everything I’ve learned this year, as well as challenge me spiritually. I’m also very excited to explore some other provinces!
Hello! My name is Chantelle Campbell. I am currently living in Strathmore, AB. I recently completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Education at the University of Winnipeg during a practicum year spent teaching and studying in Bangkok, Thailand. Before Thailand, I lived in Winnipeg where I completed my BA in International Development Studies. While living in Winnipeg, I attended Faith Covenant Church, where I made (and still have) many great friends who I was able to grow with and through whom I learned so much about what it means to be part of a community that seeks God. I am not sure of the direction my life will be going this coming year. I really enjoyed teaching overseas, and would love to go again if the right opportunity comes along. For now, I feel that I need to be open to go wherever God may lead me. I am very excited to be a part of the camp ministry team this summer. I love people, I love being outdoors, and I love being at camp! Please pray that God will work through me to bring campers into deeper relationship with Him and a more profound understanding of what it means to live as a disciple of Christ-and pray that my understanding continues to deepen as well.
My name is Michael Luedemann, I am eighteen years old and I live in Norquay Saskatchewan. Norquay Covenant Church is my home church and it has been a blessing to grow up in. I am currently attending Providence College and Seminary just outside of Winnipeg in a small town (smaller than Norquay!) called Otterburne.
I am a huge fan of music of all sorts whether it is playing or listening. I am a huge fan of John Mayer and I am not a huge fan of Van Halen. Fishing and hiking are probably two of my favourite outdoor activities along with soccer. The mountains never cease to amaze me and I miss them every day.
I am not quite sure what God has in store for my future. I would like to say fishing in the mountains, but I don’t think that is going to happen. I will be at Providence one more year to work on my Social Work degree. I love working and talking with people and I think that whatever my future holds, it will hopefully work around that.
I am very excited to be a part of this team. I think it will be a great opportunity for the people on the team to not only grow in their faith but to help and facilitate others to grow in their faith as well. I look forward to meeting the people on the team as well as all the other people we will meet this summer!
